pretty good

i enjoy reading colin wilson's nonfiction works. this is the first piece of fiction i've read. it's good. the problem i have with it, is the heavy philosophical dialogues about his philosophies and beliefs. there is not much character development nor action or descriptive scenes. it is a sci-fi horror. it is about these parasites that come from the moon and take over our consciousness. they basically make us drones, asleep at what we do. they also make those aware of them commit suicide. i enjoyed the dialogue of wilson's super conscious faculty X, but for fiction it does drag. there is a lot he says that makes one think, which in itself makes the book quite good. i'm reading the follow-up, Philospher's Stone and find that much better with regards to the fictional element and character development than this book. if you like wilson's writings and beliefs, then you'll enjoy this book on that premise alone. but if you're looking for some good sci-fi or horror, you might want to read something else.
